EcoDrive – Half Day
Eco Drive is a half-day program designed for drivers who would like to learn how to minimise the damaging effects vehicle pollutants can have on the natural environment. The program has been designed according to guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency (Victoria) to meet the requirements of fleets within the Victorian Government. This program will help drivers know what they can do to reduce vehicle emissions when driving. This course is suitable for fleet operators seeking to reduce their environmental impacts, lower fleet running and maintenance costs and to improve safety performance of drivers. The program is a combination of both classroom and practical learning (including an on-road drive) and is typically delivered on site at your workplace. Program duration is normally four hours, so depending on the number of participants to be trained, it is possible to run two half-day courses on the one day.
Participants will learn:
- Why vehicles produce pollution
- How vehicle pollution can effect the environment
- How to select a low-emissions vehicle
- How to prepare your vehicle to reduce emissions
- How to drive your vehicle in a way that reduces emissions
A Certificate is issued on completion of the course. More detailed information is available on request. Contact CDTA for a course program and pricing information.
